Wireless Sensing for Smart Buildings

Date: Thursday 10th February 2011
Location: TechnoCentre, Coventry University

Smart buildings and the whole area of building automation has been one of the success stories of energy harvesting technologies in application. EnOcean has its products in literally thousands of such buildings.

The following event is not specifically about energy harvesting but does present an excellent opportunity to understand the environment in which it must work and the wireless sensing applications it has to power.

Wireless Sensing for Smart Buildings is to be held on 10 February at the TechnoCentre, Coventry University. It brings together the Wireless Sensing community of the Electronics, Sensors, Photonics KTN with the building industry and major property owners. It will explore the information requirements of the building community and consider the state of the art, suitability and opportunities for wireless sensor networks.
