Energy Harvesting 2019

We are delighted to announce that the annual dissemination event of the Energy Harvesting Network in 2019 will be co-hosted by the Materials for Clean Energy Conference 2019. The event is being held on 8th-10th April 2019 at National Physical Laboratory in London.

This year's event is organised by the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Metamaterials of the University of Exeter and co-organised by the Energy Harvesting Network. The conference consists of two themes, i.e. energy harvesting and energy storage. It will bring together academics, industrialists and end-users in these areas. The energy harvesting theme will be focused on 8th April while the energy storage theme will be focused on 9th-10th April. Topics covered in the conference include but are not limited to:
- Solar cells
- Thermoelectric energy harvesting
- Piezoelectric energy harvesting
- Triboelectric energy harvesting
- Fuel cells
- Battery
- Capacitor and supercapacitor

Confirmed invited speakers include Prof Paolo Bondavalli from Thales Research and Technology, Prof Robert Dorey from the University of Surrey, Dr Bruno Ehrler from AMOLF, Prof Maria Escudero-Escribano from the University of Copenhagen and Prof Magdalena Titirici from Queen Mary London. Detailed conference programme will be published on the conference website in Feburary.

The conference welcomes abstract submission from researchers and postgraduate research students. The submission deadline is 22nd Feburary 2019. Please find submission details on the conference website.

Conference registration is now open through the University of Exeter online store. Members of the Energy Harvesting Network will enjoy a discount towards the registration fee. Registration costs GBP30 for academic members and GBP50 for industrial members. Please use the discount code MCECEHN20 when prompted. There are also basic and full sponsor packages available for potential exhibitors. The exhibitor registration fee is GBP250 for basic sponsors and GBP500 for full sponsors.
