CfP: Special Symposia on Photonics and the IoT at IEEE Photonics

Date added: Tuesday 23rd April 2013

There are predictions that there will be more 100 billion wireless devices on the planet by the year 2020. Many of these will be small sensors and actuators forming an 'internet of things' that can undertake such functions as monitoring the environment, building control, and energy supply management. In the longer term such sensors may shrink to scales of microns and below.

Energy harvesting is likely to play a key role in implementing such devices and contributions from those involved in photonic energy harvesting and other relevant areas are encouraged to submit papers to the symposium.

Important Dates:
Paper submission: April 26th, 2013
