EPSRC Energy Harvesting Network

Energy Harvesting & Storage and WSNs & RTLS Europe 2011

Date: 21st June 2011 - 22nd June 2011
Location: Munich, Germany

The whole value chain will be represented at Europe's largest event on the topic of Energy Harvesting. End users from many vertical industries and providers of the best technology solutions will join together to discuss their needs and experiences with the technology - that vital reality check. Those involved in making one of the ten types of energy harvesters, thin film batteries, supercapacitors, near-zero power electronic circuits and the system opportunities these provide will also be in attendance. The following industries will be represented - the Built & Industrial Environment, Consumer Goods & Electronics, Healthcare & Body Area Networks, Vehicles - Land, Sea & Air, and Textiles.

New for 2011 will be hands-on (or in some cases 'feet-on') demonstrations of energy harvesters as part of Europe's largest exhibition on the topic. Attendees should expect to see many novel types of energy harvesters in action to complete systems. The event will be held on 21-22 June in Munich, Germany - a location with many organisations working on the topic and IDTechEx, the event hosts, will be providing tours to some of these as part of the event.
