Biography
I am a lecturer in the electromechanical research group at the University of Southampton and a senior consulting engineer. I am also the program lead for mechanical Engineering. Since completing my PhD in 1995 at Southampton, I have been involved in all areas of research, teaching and enterprise. Between 1995 and 1996, I was a research fellow in the mechanical engineering department, working in the area of vibrational optimization. Between 1997 and 1999, I moved abroad to work as a full-time lecturer. In July 1999, I returned to Southampton as a research fellow to work on the integration of advanced active and passive structural noise control methods. In 2003, I was employed by the University of Southampton to work as a consultant and since 2007 I have been a full-time lecturer.

I am a PhD Researcher studying the potential for rainfall energy harvesting applications. My work is sponsored by a collaboration between the University of Southampton and A*STAR IMRE Singapore.
