Dr. Mahmoud Wagih leads research in the RF-Enabled Sustainable Technologies (REST) theme</a>, holding a UK Intelligence Community Research Fellowship from the Royal Academy of Engineering. He joined the Univesity of Glasgow in 2022 as a Proleptic Lecturer and UK IC Fellow, where he was previously a senior research fellow at the University of Southampton. He received his 1st class BEng, in 2018 and PhD from the University of Southampton, in 2021, named Best in Engineering and Physical Sciences. He is a Senior Member of the International Union of Radio Science (URSI) and an affiliate member of IEEE Microwave Theory & Technologies Technical Committees on Wireless Power and on RFID/IoT Sensors. He received over 15 research prizes including Best Paper/Presentation at IEEE WPTC'19, IEEE IMS'20, PowerMEMS'19 and PowerMEMS'21, the EurAAP Best PhD in Antennas and Propagation [in Europe] in 2022 at EuCAP, and was a TechWorks UK Young Engineer of the Year Finalist, in 2021.
