Biography
Professor Hari Reehal leads the Photovoltaics and Thin Films Group at London South Bank University. His research covers the growth, processing and characterisation of thin film materials and opto-electronic devices, particularly solar cells. Prior to joining South Bank, he was a Team Leader at the BP Research Centre in Sunbury where his work included thin film and wafer-based silicon and III-V PV technologies and new device concepts. In recent years his research has focussed on thin film crystalline silicon solar cells and novel concepts for PV devices such as silicon nanowire and plasmonic solar cells. His interests include oxide electronics (e.g. TCOs) and nanomaterials for device applications. His lab has extensive facilities for thin film growth, device fabrication and characterisation.
