We have recently introduced a family of Energy Harvesting ICs which make it possible to harvest small amounts of ambient energy which can then be conditioned to power down stream electronics such as wireless sensor nodes. The energy sources include thermal (Thermoelectric and solar) and mechanical vibration (Piezoelectric).
