Energy Harvesting 2020: Technology Showcase

The 10th annual Energy Harvesting Network one-day Dissemination Event will take place on Wednesday 29 April 2020, at Conference Aston in Birmingham, UK; centrally located about 15 minutes walk from Birmingham's New Street and Moor Street stations. The focus of this year's event is on showcasing EH technology demonstrations, from R&D prototypes in the lab to ready commercial solutions. The EH Network has registered members from over 400 companies/institutions and this annual event brings together academics, industrialists, policy stakeholders and end-users of EH technologies.
  • Hear invited talks from academic & industrial experts on the state-of-the-art of EH
  • Hear the experience of success and challenge stories of bringing EH from lab to market
  • See technology demonstrations & posters from industrial and academic researchers
  • Network with a broad mix of industrial and academic delegates within the EH field
The event is sponsored by the Innovate UK Knowledge Transfer Network, Aston University, and the University of Southampton.

Registration

The deadline for registering to attend is 21 April 2020. The registration fee, for attendees, is £50 (or £30 for academics), which includes lunch. To register an interest in attending, please Email us, and we'll let you know when registration opens.

Call for posters and showcase demos

You are cordially invited to request for a poster and/or a demo showcasing space by emailing an abstract (50-100 words) to: event@eh-network.org:
  • Poster presentations: Poster presentation for students and researchers to present their latest EH research and concept. The registration fee is waived for poster presenters.

  • Showcase demonstrations: Showcasing tables are available for table-top exhibitions and demonstrations of EH technology. Both academic and industrial presenters are invited to bring along their concept device/component, prototype or mature solution to the event. This will help to showcase solutions to potential end users and R&D partners (academic and industrial). The registration fee is waived for demo presenters.

  • Posters and Demos will be judged for Best Poster and Best Demo Awards (£100 Amazon voucher each).

  • Travel grant: The EH Network is launching travel funding support for academic demo presenters. Email us to find out more (funding from a pot, first come first serve).
